Connect Fluent Forms to Moosend
Connect Fluent Forms to Moosend and every form submission becomes a subscriber in the Moosend mailing list you choose. ClickSyncr for Moosend adds a native Fluent Forms integration with per-form feeds: connect your API key once, pick a mailing list, map your fields, save. No code and about two minutes per form.
Before you begin
You need three things: the ClickSyncr for Moosend plugin activated, Fluent Forms active, and a Moosend account with permission to create an API key. The key is stored once and shared across every supported builder on the site.
Get your Moosend API key
- Log in to Moosend (identity.moosend.com) and go to More → Settings → API key.
- Copy the account API key.
- Paste it into any ClickSyncr Moosend panel. One key serves the whole site: once one builder saves it, every other builder reuses the connection automatically.
Treat the key like a password. Anyone holding it can read and modify your Moosend audience.
Fluent Forms setup, step by step
- Open the form’s integrations. Edit a form, then Settings & Integrations → Marketing & CRM Integrations, and add Moosend (ClickSyncr).
- Configure the feed. Pick the mailing list, set the email field, map the rest, and keep the feed enabled.
- Optional: set a consent field. Set an optional consent field (a checkbox, acceptance or radio). When a visitor leaves it unticked, nothing is sent to Moosend at all: by design, no subscriber record, no email. The same applies when you set the form’s status to Not synced.
- Save the feed. Every new submission now syncs to Moosend.

Email, name, and mailing list fields
Every builder maps the same schema: Email (required), the standard Name field, and the selected mailing list’s custom fields (phone, company and any you define), mapped by their Moosend names with each field’s type shown, including number and date types. Moosend matches subscribers by email, so a repeat submission updates the same subscriber instead of creating a duplicate. An unmapped field is simply skipped and never overwrites existing data with a blank value.
Subscriber status and double opt-in
The form’s subscriber status controls Moosend’s confirmation email directly: Added right away skips it, and Use list setting lets the mailing list’s own Moosend double opt-in decide. Fields are per list too: pick a mailing list and the mapping rows show that list’s own custom fields, with number and date types marked.
Verify the sync
Submit the form on the front end (not the admin preview) with a test address you can recognise, filling every mapped field. In Moosend, open the mailing list and search for your test address under its members. With Use list setting on a double opt-in list, the subscriber appears after they click Moosend’s confirmation email. Back in WordPress, the ClickSyncr entry in the admin bar shows per-form sync counts and the last error, if any: a quick pulse check without leaving the site.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Cause and fix |
|---|---|
| Lists don’t load after pasting the key | Copy the key from More → Settings → API key in Moosend and paste it exactly. |
| The subscriber never appears | If the consent box was left unticked, or the form’s status is Not synced, nothing is sent to Moosend by design. On a double opt-in list with Use list setting, they appear only after clicking the confirmation email. |
| A custom field stays empty | Fields are per list. Check the mapping row and confirm the field exists on the mailing list you selected, with a compatible type. |
| Sync stopped working | Check the admin-bar health menu for the last error. An invalid or rotated API key is the usual cause; paste the new key in any builder and it updates everywhere. |
Does this work with the free Fluent Forms?
Yes. The Moosend (ClickSyncr) integration registers in the free Fluent Forms as a native integration feed.
Can one site sync several forms to Moosend?
Yes. Each form carries its own feed with its own mailing list and mapping, all sharing the one site-wide key.
