Connect Your WordPress Forms to Beehiiv

ClickSyncr for Beehiiv is a free Beehiiv integration for WordPress forms: it turns form submissions into Beehiiv subscribers automatically. It works with Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms, Ninja Forms, Fluent Forms, Formidable Forms, and Forminator: whichever builder your site uses, every submission lands in the Beehiiv publication you choose, with field mapping and no code required.

Works with your form builder

ClickSyncr integrates natively with each builder, so the Beehiiv settings live where you already work. Each name links to its step-by-step setup guide:

  • Contact Form 7 + Beehiiv: a ClickSyncr Beehiiv tab appears in the Contact Form 7 editor. Pick a publication, map your fields, save.
  • WPForms + Beehiiv: a ClickSyncr Beehiiv section in the WPForms builder settings. Configure the sync per form without leaving the builder.
  • Gravity Forms + Beehiiv: a native Gravity Forms feed. Add a ClickSyncr Beehiiv feed to any form, with conditional logic support from the feed framework.
  • Ninja Forms + Beehiiv: a ClickSyncr Beehiiv action in the Ninja Forms builder. Add it to a form and every submission subscribes.
  • Fluent Forms + Beehiiv: a native Fluent Forms integration. Connect the key once under Integrations, then add a Beehiiv feed to any form.
  • Formidable Forms + Beehiiv: a Beehiiv form action, available in Formidable Lite as well as Pro.
  • Forminator + Beehiiv: a native Forminator application. Connect it once, then apply it to any form.

How it works

  1. Install ClickSyncr for Beehiiv and activate it. It detects your form builder automatically.
  2. Open your form in its builder and find the ClickSyncr Beehiiv tab, section, feed, action, or integration.
  3. Paste your Beehiiv API key once. ClickSyncr connects to your account and loads your publications and custom fields, and every builder shares the connection.
  4. Choose the Beehiiv publication for this form. The picker shows each publication with its subscriber and custom field counts.
  5. Map your form fields to Email and the publication’s custom fields, and save.
  6. Done. Every new submission is sent to Beehiiv as a subscriber.

Beehiiv integration features

  • Idempotent sync: subscribers are matched by email, so re-submissions reactivate and update the existing record instead of creating duplicates.
  • Field mapping: map any form field to your publication’s Beehiiv custom fields. Email is the only required mapping.
  • Consent aware: with an acceptance checkbox in your form, ticked submissions arrive as Active and unticked ones as Unconfirmed.
  • Subscriber status control: choose Active, Unconfirmed, or defer to your publication’s own opt-in setting, per form.
  • One connection, seven builders: the API key is stored once and shared across every supported form builder on the site.
  • Rate-limit aware: respects Beehiiv’s API rate limits so a busy site never silently drops submissions.
  • Debug logging: submission failures are written to WordPress debug.log when WP_DEBUG_LOG is enabled.
  • Coexists with every other ClickSyncr integration: run Beehiiv alongside Mailchimp, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign and 20+ more on the same site.

Get your Beehiiv API key

  1. Log in to Beehiiv and go to Settings → Integrations (app.beehiiv.com/settings/integrations).
  2. Create a new API key and give it a recognisable name such as WordPress ClickSyncr.
  3. Copy it and paste it into any ClickSyncr Beehiiv panel. One key serves the whole site.

Treat the key like a password. Anyone holding it can read and modify your Beehiiv subscribers.

Which form builder should you use with Beehiiv?

Any of them. If your site already runs Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms, Ninja Forms, Fluent Forms, Formidable Forms, or Forminator, ClickSyncr connects the forms you already have to Beehiiv: there is no reason to switch builders just to grow your newsletter. The plugin refuses to run without a supported builder present, and the sync behaves identically on all seven.

A maintenance release. Every placeholder in the Beehiiv panel summaries now carries a translator comment, so a translator can see what each value holds before reordering a string.

Conditions that work, and the settings Beehiiv actually honours

A condition on any field the panel offered was silently dropping every submission. That is fixed, and the panel gained the Beehiiv settings that were verified against a live account: attribution, premium tiers, newsletter lists, Stripe customer, and the two choices that used to be made for you.

  • Attribution: record where a subscriber came from with utm_source, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content and referring site, each either a fixed value or read from a field on your form.
  • Newsletter lists: a Beehiiv publication can hold several lists, and you can choose which ones a subscription joins.
  • Premium access: grant a paid subscription tier from a form, for publications that sell one.
  • Stripe customer: link the subscription to an existing Stripe customer from a form field.
  • Resubscribing someone who previously unsubscribed is now a choice, and it defaults to leaving them unsubscribed.
  • Sending the publication's welcome email is now a choice.
  • Tags can apply to every destination a subscriber is sent to, not only the first one.
  • The panel is one grid: every label starts in the same place and every control is the same width, instead of three different table layouts on one screen.
  • The field mapping list has real column headings, and fields read as Text, Number or Date rather than as the raw type name.
  • Additional publications and tags are chip fields now, so nothing has to tell you to hold Command or to separate values with commas.
  • The plain English summary moved above the settings, where it can be read while you are still deciding.
  • Once connected, the panel says so in one line and folds the API key away.
Fixes (3)
  • A condition built from the field names the panel offered never matched, so every submission was silently dropped while the form reported success. Conditions now read what the visitor actually submitted.
  • An optional setting can no longer cost you the subscriber. Beehiiv requires the Stripe customer id to be unique, and a repeated value used to make the whole subscription fail. The subscriber is now created and only the rejected setting is left unset.
  • Tags reached the first destination only, leaving fanned-out subscribers untagged with nothing on screen saying so.

A panel that reads in Beehiiv's own words

The Contact Form 7 panel was rebuilt as one flow, using Beehiiv's own vocabulary throughout, and the paid settings are now visible to everyone rather than hidden behind a feature list.

  • The panel reads top to bottom in the order a submission travels: connect, decide which submissions sync, choose the publication, say what data goes with the subscriber, say how they are added, then handle someone who is already subscribed.
  • The panel has a header showing the connection state at a glance.
  • Settings that belong to Pro now render in place, greyed out, with a link to unlock them, so you can see what the paid version does instead of reading a list of feature names.
  • The double opt-in notice is written in plain English rather than API terms.
  • Two admin notices, one for setup and one asking for a review, and they appear only on ClickSyncr screens.
  • The editor no longer warns about unsaved changes on a page nobody edited.

  • The field mapping table stays visible when other ClickSyncr plugins run on the same site.
  • The unconfirmed subscriber state is now called what Beehiiv calls it, and the panel says the consent box has to be optional or nobody can submit the form without ticking it.
