Kit, or ConvertKit, depending on which plugin you ask

Kit rebranded from ConvertKit in 2024. Most WordPress plugins have not caught up in their documentation, so a search for “Kit” in a settings screen finds nothing while “ConvertKit” finds everything. So search both.

Five of the ten largest form plugins connect to it.

Contact Form 7 first, because it is most of the market

Ten million installs and no integrations at all. Kit is not missing from Contact Form 7 in the way it is missing from Forminator; nothing is there, by design. The plugin builds and sends forms, and everything else is an add-on.

So if that is your stack, a connector keeps the forms you have. ClickSyncr covers Kit along with about twenty other platforms.

The five that connect

Plugin Active installs Rating Ratings count
WPForms Lite 5,000,000 96/100 14,369
Fluent Forms 700,000 96/100 790
Ninja Forms 600,000 88/100 1,395
Everest Forms 90,000 98/100 375
HappyForms 20,000 88/100 433

The ratings column is there for a reason. Everest Forms shows the highest score at 98, from 375 ratings. WPForms shows 96 from 14,369. But the second number is the more reliable signal, so read both before picking on score alone.

The three that do not

Forminator, Formidable Forms and Kali Forms all reach Mailchimp and skip Kit. Formidable is otherwise the strongest of the three at 300,000 installs and a 96 rating, so if Kit is a requirement it drops out for one reason only.

Creators are the reason this list is short

Kit is built for creators: newsletters, paid subscriptions, sequences. Its tagging model is closer to a CRM than a mailing list, so plugins that treat email marketing as “add this address to that list” map onto it awkwardly.

So check what a connector actually does with tags. A form that can only subscribe, with no tag or sequence, gives you a list you then have to segment by hand.

Questions people actually ask

Is Kit the same as ConvertKit? Yes, renamed in 2024. Plugin settings screens often still say ConvertKit.

Does WPForms include Kit for free? No. Lite is the free plugin and the integration is a paid add-on.

Can I add tags from the form? Depends entirely on the connector. Ask before you buy, because tags are how Kit segments.

What about Contact Form 7? No integrations of any kind. Add a connector and keep your forms.

Already built the forms you want?

ClickSyncr connects the forms you already have to the email platform you already pay for, without rebuilding either.
