This is the easy one
ActiveCampaign is the second best supported platform in WordPress form plugins, behind Mailchimp but ahead of everything else. Seven of the ten largest name it in their own documentation.
So unlike Klaviyo, where the list is two plugins long, here you can pick on price, interface and support quality rather than on whether the integration exists at all.
| Plugin | Active installs | Rating | Ratings count |
|---|---|---|---|
| WPForms Lite | 5,000,000 | 96/100 | 14,369 |
| Fluent Forms | 700,000 | 96/100 | 790 |
| Ninja Forms | 600,000 | 88/100 | 1,395 |
| Forminator | 600,000 | 96/100 | 2,117 |
| Formidable Forms | 300,000 | 96/100 | 1,380 |
| Everest Forms | 90,000 | 98/100 | 375 |
| HappyForms | 20,000 | 88/100 | 433 |

How to choose when everything qualifies
Four of the seven sit at a 96 rating, so the score has stopped being useful as a tiebreaker. Two things separate them in practice.
Rating volume. WPForms has 14,369 ratings against Everest Forms’ 375. A 98 from 375 people and a 96 from 14,369 are not the same claim.
What the integration does with automations. ActiveCampaign’s value is its automations, not its lists. So a connector that only adds a contact leaves you triggering everything by hand afterwards. One that can apply a tag or add to an automation on submit is a different product, and both get described as “ActiveCampaign integration”.
Ask that question before you buy. In fact it is the difference that shows up three months later.
Contact Form 7
Ten million installs, and no integrations. Nothing to compare on this page because there is nothing there; the plugin deliberately does one job and leaves the rest to add-ons.
ClickSyncr connects it to ActiveCampaign, along with roughly twenty other platforms. That is worth it when you have forms you do not want to rebuild. But if you are starting fresh, buying into one vendor’s ecosystem is the simpler path and I would take it.
Questions people actually ask
Which is best for ActiveCampaign? With seven qualifying, pick on what else you need. WPForms for the largest support community, Fluent Forms for speed, Formidable if you need calculations or views.
Can the form trigger an automation? Depends on the connector, not on ActiveCampaign. Confirm before you commit, because it is the main reason to use ActiveCampaign at all.
Does Contact Form 7 do this natively? No, and it never has. Add a connector.
