Connect WPForms to MailerLite
Connect WPForms to MailerLite and every submission becomes a subscriber in the group you choose. The free ClickSyncr for MailerLite plugin adds a ClickSyncr MailerLite section to the WPForms builder: paste a key, pick a group, map fields, save. Groups and fields load the moment the key is in place.
Before you begin
You need three things: the ClickSyncr for MailerLite plugin activated, WPForms active, and a MailerLite account (the free tier is fine, with permission to create an API token). WPForms stores the API key per form, inside the form builder’s Settings panel.
Get your MailerLite API key
- Log in to MailerLite and go to Integrations → API (dashboard.mailerlite.com/integrations/api).
- Generate a new token and give it a recognisable name such as
WordPress ClickSyncr. - Copy it immediately: MailerLite shows the full token only once. If you lose it, generate another.
Treat the token like a password. Anyone holding it can read and modify your MailerLite subscribers.
WPForms setup, step by step
- Edit a form, then open Settings → ClickSyncr MailerLite. In the form builder, click Settings in the left column, then ClickSyncr MailerLite in the list of sections. Direct link pattern:

ClickSyncr MailerLite in the WPForms Settings sidebar. - Paste your API key, then pick the group. The key box is masked as you type. As soon as a valid key is in place the group dropdown and the mapping rows load automatically; you do not have to save first.
Masked API key with the group list already populated from MailerLite. - Map your fields. Each MailerLite field gets a dropdown of your form’s fields. Every dropdown starts blank on purpose: nothing syncs until you map Email, which prevents the wrong field being sent silently. Set Email first, then add the others.

The nine MailerLite fields
Every builder maps the same nine standard MailerLite fields, and any custom fields in your account appear in the list automatically. Only Email is mandatory; an unmapped field is simply skipped and never overwrites existing subscriber data with a blank value. If MailerLite rejects one value’s type, that single field is dropped and the subscriber still syncs.

Verify the sync
Submit the form on the front end (not the admin preview) with a test address you can recognise, filling every mapped field. In MailerLite, open Subscribers and confirm the subscriber exists, sits in the group you selected, and carries the mapped values. That one minute catches almost every configuration mistake.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Cause and fix |

| The group dropdown is empty | The key is missing, mistyped, or was revoked in MailerLite. Re-paste it and reconnect. A key with a trailing space is the classic culprit. |
| Submissions do not appear in MailerLite | Nine times out of ten the Email field is not mapped. It is the one required mapping. Fix it, then submit a fresh test. |
| Changing the key did not take effect everywhere | WPForms stores a key per form, so update each form that syncs. |
| The subscriber syncs but a field is empty | Either that field is unmapped, or it was blank on the submission. Empty values are skipped so they never wipe existing MailerLite data. |
| One field never arrives, the rest do | MailerLite rejected that value’s type, for example letters in a number field. The plugin drops just the offending field and syncs the rest. |
Why are the WPForms mapping dropdowns blank at first?
By design. A blank default can never silently send the wrong field to MailerLite. Map Email and the sync starts working.
Do I need WPForms Pro?
No. The integration works with the free WPForms plugin; it lives in the builder’s standard Settings panel.
