Contact Form Integration for Joomla: setup guide
Adds people who send your Joomla contact form to your email list. One package per service: MailerLite, Mailchimp, Brevo, Klaviyo, Kit, GetResponse, Campaign Monitor, Benchmark Email, Beehiiv, Drip, Elastic Email, EmailOctopus, Loops, Moosend and SendPulse. Every package works the same way. Works with Joomla’s built-in contact form on Joomla 4.4, 5 and 6. Free, GPLv2 or later.
Install
- Download the package: the package for your service from its Joomla Extensions Directory listing or from our download link.
- In Joomla, go to System, Install, Extensions, and upload the package ZIP. The package installs a component and a system plugin.
- Updates appear in System, Update, Extensions, like any other extension.
Set up
- Open Components, Contact Form Integration for your service.
- Paste the API key from your email service and click Connect. Your lists (groups, audiences or publications, depending on the service) and fields load.
- Choose the list new subscribers go to.
- Map the contact form fields (name, email, and any custom fields) to the fields of your service.
- Consent field: optional. Leave it on “No consent field” to add every valid submission, or pick a checkbox from your contact form and the accepted values; then only ticked submissions are added.
- Choose the subscriber status (active or unconfirmed with double opt-in), what happens to existing subscribers, and whether consent is recorded.
- Save and activate.
What happens on a submission
The visitor gets the normal Joomla response first; the subscriber is sent to your email service after that, so a slow or failing service never delays the form. Refused or failed sends are logged in the component, never shown to the visitor. Invalid email addresses are not sent.
Help us improve
The component can share anonymous usage signals with us (which Joomla and PHP versions are in use, whether sends succeed). It is on by default and can be turned off on the settings screen. See the privacy page.
Questions
Something not working? Contact support. Each service has its own package; the settings screen and the steps above are the same for all of them.
